Gold Analysis Today: A 15-Minute Daily Framework

By · 2026-07-29 · 10 min read

Searching gold analysis today gets you a hundred hot takes. More useful: the 15-minute framework a desk actually runs each morning to build today's XAUUSD view — so you can produce your own daily analysis and judge everyone else's, including ours.

Minute 1-3: what did gold do while you slept?

Pull up H1 candles for the Asia session. Three questions: did price respect yesterday's close, did it take out an obvious high or low (liquidity grab), and where does it sit relative to the last support/resistance shelf? Asia rarely sets gold's daily direction, but it sets the levels London will attack.

Minute 4-7: the calendar rules the day

Check the news desk for red-flag events: CPI, Fed decisions and speakers, NFP, PMI clusters. A high-impact release splits the day into 'before' (normal setups), 'during' (no-trade window — spreads and slippage go feral, details here) and 'after' (the real move, tradeable once the first spike settles).

Minute 8-12: build the two-sided map

Write a bull line and a bear line for the day — always both. 'Above 4,030 the buyers' target is 4,045 then 4,060; losing 4,015 opens 3,995.' Two-sided maps immunise you against the perma-bull content that dominates gold media (safe-haven myths included) and match how desks publish: direction + level + invalidation, never prophecy.

Minute 13-15: define YOUR involvement

Decide before the session: which setups would you take, at what size, and which windows are you unavailable? Analysis without an involvement plan becomes impulse trading by lunchtime. If you follow a desk, this is where signals slot in — today's published plans against today's map. Watch how ours read against your levels with the free daily signals.

That is the whole framework: overnight structure, calendar, two-sided map, involvement plan. Fifteen minutes, every trading morning — the same skeleton behind every signal we publish.

For what the desk actually did rather than what it expected, our monthly results pages holds every closed gold trade.
