Real-Time Gold Signals: Latency, Delivery & Why Seconds Matter
By The Aurum Desk · 2026-07-29 · 10 min read
'Real-time' is the most abused phrase in the signal industry, so let us define it with engineering: real-time gold signals means the desk's price plane, detection logic and delivery pipe are all measured in seconds — because in XAUUSD, seconds are pips. This is an inside-the-desk account of what we actually built.
The price plane: spot, sampled every second
Aurum Desk prices gold from live spot sources with sub-second bank quotes, sampled every second while the desk is active — with a premium reference feed cross-checking every tick so a bad print can never masquerade as the market. Futures quotes (which trade dollars above spot) are structurally banned from our gold pipeline; a TP detected on a futures price that spot never touched would be a fiction, and we rebuilt the pipeline specifically to make that impossible.
Detection: TPs fire on real prints, with honest pips
When gold trades through a published TP, detection confirms it against consecutive live prints and announces the hit within seconds — with pips computed from the published level, not from whatever overshoot the detector happened to sample. That last detail matters: overshoot-based pips inflate results, and inflation is how dishonest records get made.
Delivery: the last mile is Telegram
Publication, TP hits and closes push to linked Telegram in the same second they happen, threading to the original signal so your history stays legible. Email digests and web-only feeds fail gold traders structurally — by the time a daily email arrives, the London session has already resolved every level it mentions.
Why latency compounds into money
A signal acted on 60 seconds late enters at a worse price, tightens the effective risk-reward, and sometimes inverts a winner into a loser — the spread and slippage mechanics quantify it. When you evaluate any provider claiming real-time anything, run the stopwatch test for a week: publication timestamp vs your notification. We built ours to win that test; the free tier is how you verify it.
The desk publishes the consequences of this process in the published results.
